Traffic at NYGS, NJC & RGPS @ Bkt Timah Rd & Eng Neo

This thread is for parents driving their kids to NYGS, NJC, RGPS to share traffic update along Bukit Timah Road.

As far as I know, NJC starts at 7.40am.

What time does NYGS, RGPS starts ?

If coming from PIE from the East, is it better to:

a) exit into Eng Neo Ave, then turn left into Bukit Timah Road

OR

b) exit Stevens Road (ie Whitley Road), then turn right into Bukit Timah Road then do a "U" turn to NYGS, NJC, RGPS ?

What is the best time to reach that part of Bukit Timah Road when the jam is at its minimum ?

EDIT: I will update the time the school starts as & when someone help to post the time the various school start on various days:

NJC 7.40am (Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri), 8.30am (Thu)

Nanyang High 8.20am (Mon) 7.20am (Tue to Fri)

HCI 7.15am (Mon to Fri)

RGPS (7.20am (Mon to Fri)

Thanks

I already did 2 test runs in Sept/Oct when school term was in full force. It's best to use Eng Neo. There's a jam in Eng Neo itself, but it's not as bad as the jam that hits you right at the exit to Bukit Timah road from the Jap Association - and that jam runs until your said NJC U-turn.

The timing that I did my test runs was around 6.50am from Bishan, reaching NJC at 7.10am - 7.15am

Thanks phankao, I shall then avoid the "U-turn" route.

I was just thinking that since most school starts at 7.20am (I am guessing that NYGS & RGPS both starts at 7.20am. Can parents of both school kindly confirm this ? Thanks) & NJC starts 7.40am, isn't better for parents of NJC to plan their journey reach NJC after 7.21am ?

What you think ?

Thanks

I'm glad someone started this topic. To go to HCI from the east via PIE, is it better exit at Steven's rd and use underpass at Farrer OR is it better to exit at Adam rd? I heard the jam is partly caused by cars turning right to Nanyang Primary along Bukit Timah Rd.

But there's schoolbus to HCI and none for NJC ... so you have an option. ;)
