help in choosing schools

Hello all.

So the O'level results are out and my results are as follows.

Eng- A2
E lit - A1
C.H ( ss/egeog) - A1
Emath - A2
Chem - A1
Bio - A1
HCL - D7 ( WHAT A WASTE :( )

L1R5 : 8-2 = 6

So I'm intending to put VJC sci and ACSI as first and second choice, just in case.
But my next option, should i go for tic or SJI?

TJC
- near my house
- seems to offer better sci programmes
- more friends there

SJI
- im eligible for the edusave scholarship so i guess fees aren't too much of an issue ( it's good motivation i guess)
- it's IB, i think it's cool?
- further from my house. probably around 15 minutes more

Which should I go for? Should I be more daring and pursue SJI which offers IB?

Note that I don't have Amath...so I'm really thinking if sciences is the way for me.
My humanities and sciences are balanced, but my love is in chemistry, so I am more slanted towards sciences.

Any opinion?

With no A.Maths you may have a problem doing Science in most JCs as I think you will need to do H2 Maths in Science Stream.

With IB you can consider doing a mix of Higher Level and Standard Level subjects so you can easily do SL (Maths+CL+EL) and HL (Chem+Bio+Econs?)

Perhaps you should drop by the open houses to have a look. Anyway congrats on your very good results.

hi emoh,
I will go ahead with science stream because I want to take up H1 math anyway ( and I'm pretty sure that they won't give me h2 math as well lol!)

I'm slanting more towards IB, so thank you!
