L1R5 = first language and relevant 5 subjects (relevant to the art / science stream applied for in JC)finder wrote:May I know what is the different? Tks.
Most Poly use L1R2B2, which is English (L1), 2 relevant subjects (usually Maths or Science for engineering courses), and best 2 subjects.verykiasu2010 wrote:L1R5 = first language and relevant 5 subjects (relevant to the art / science stream applied for in JC)finder wrote:May I know what is the different? LiB5 = first language plus BEST 5 subjects, which may not be relevant to the stream applying for
Just my guess - could be wrong

We are pleased with her result though she is not those straight As type. We see that she has put in her best for this exam, to me that is more important. She has clear interest for a particular course in Poly and know where her passion lies. We support her decision.julongmum wrote:hi Justsay, if u don't mind how did you DD1 do in O level? or both of u satisfied with the results?
Wah ! yes its scary ....justsay wrote:To aim for A1 with 75 marks is clearly not sufficient, one has to aim for full marks for an A1. Scary isn't it ?
really? My sis maths is usually in the b4 range but she managed to get an a2!daisyt wrote:Wah ! yes its scary ....justsay wrote:To aim for A1 with 75 marks is clearly not sufficient, one has to aim for full marks for an A1. Scary isn't it ?
Yes, in fact I see most of their grades are better than what they get in school as the papers were much easier. What I am saying is the moderation that brings their grades down. Those who scored 80 plus were hopeful for an A1 but ended in the B range.mrswongtuition wrote:really? My sis maths is usually in the b4 range but she managed to get an a2!
