Physics Sense: Confusing Concepts - Newton’s Second Law

One student states the Newton’s 2nd Law as below:
Newton 2nd Law states that the force F on an object with mass m is the result of the object’s acceleration a, which can be stated as F = ma.
Can you pinpoint the flaws of the above statement and state the reasons why? I am not looking for an answer from the text book but your explanation from the above statement.
