Pre-School in the West (Around Holland, Dover, Pasir Panjang

My 4 yr old DS has been with his existing kindergarten for 2 years. His elder sister studied there for 4 yrs. While we generally like the environment and bilingual environment, similarly to some parents’ feedback, since we need to add on enrichment like Berries, ICanRead and such, perhaps a neighborhood pre-school will do as well?

Any parents have recommendation for a pre-school in the West near to Holland, Insead, Dover, Clementi, Pasir Panjang?

The fees we are paying are on the steep side of $800/mth  so we're thinking of finding a "cheaper" but equally all rounded preschool to switch him to. Ultimately, we thought whichever school he goes to, parents have to make an effort at home to guide him, teach him, instill the love of learning and reading etc.... School is a place when he can learn social interactions, build friendship, as long as their curriculum prepares them well for P1, it doesn’t matter if it’s not "branded" any thoughts?

If 800 per month is for full day child care, then the fees aren't exactly considered steep.

Pre School in the West

Postby Gwen » Fri Jul 02, 2010 8:19 pm

oh, its for half day, $800 is after subsidy for working mom....so plus the enrichment classes...

so am wondering if we have to send kids for additional classes, regardless, because we're all kiasu parents....so wondering if a switch to a less branded pre school make sense.... but I've not been successful in locating one nearby....wanted to hear if there are good recommendations in the west...
