Criteria for childcare / preschool subsidies

Postby toddles » Thu Jan 13, 2011 5:37 pm

Hi everyone,

Wonder if anyone knows about this.

I always thought that only childcare centres attract fee subsidies from MCYS.

$150 if half day, $300 if full day. And only if the mother is working full time, or something like that.

However, Chiltern House (which is not a cc) gets $150 subsidy off their fees for the preschool programme, even though they follow MOE timetable (calendar year of holidays etc) and is not categorised as a childcare?

Any idea how they qualify for this and whether other similar preschools also qualify for subsidies? Is there a list or a registration process with MCYS?
