List of all childcare centres in Singapore!

Postby ChiefKiasu » Mon Sep 03, 2007 12:20 pm

The MCYS has a very comprehensive listing of childcare centres in Singapore. Apparently there are currently over 600 of these centres! There is even an online search allowing you to search by distance to your address and your budget. Kudos to MCYS. It is just unfortunate that the service is hidden by some very convoluted links. Also, there are no user ranking or comments on the centres, so it is still pretty much trial and error when it comes to finding one that provides value for money.

Check it out here if you are in the market: http://app.mcys.gov.sg/web/serv_dss_disability_main.asp?Services_Id=4

Wow... that's a pretty good site! Loads of child care centres listed with some user comments and ratings. Good job.

I'm looking for a full-day child care service which offers enrichment courses such as music appreciation and even swimming lessons as part of the curriculum. The idea is really an all-in-1 service so that we don't have to spend time during the weekends to take the kids out for these ECAs. Better to spend quality family time together. Are such services available? I've heard of the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts offering these services, but haven't gotten any feedback on this.

oh, learning vision at Arthur Road have something like that. I use to sent my boy to the infant care there.

If I remember correctly, they have quite a number of enrichment classes you can enroll your kids in while they go to child care

Swimming lessons at Kallang Swimming Complex,
MIM -Music for the intelligent mind (Collaboration with Seimpi School of Music fr 18 months onwards)
Drama
Ballet

U can find out more from their site

Infant care for $1050 per month??!! Holy mackerel. So families don't even earn more than $800 per month. And the garmen still wants us to have more kids. I think my mother-in-law would love to be paid that amount to look after my kids 9am-5pm everyday. 50% off also can.

i think learning vision @ work is a huge franchise focusing on setting up childcare centres at office locations. i'm not comfortable dealing with big organizations when it comes to child care. Need a human face :)
