I have 2 pre school going children. Both of them take the school bus to school every day. The pre school they attend continues to conduct classes during the June and December holidays but call them "Holiday programs" instead. The regular classes and holiday programs are held in the same premises.
We pay for the school bus during the June and December periods despite the fact that the children do not take the school bus. This is an industrial wide practice and although I still cannot comprehend or agree to it, i had gradually accepted it over the years. The reason given by the school bus operators are "they continue to pay the drivers and attendants even in June and December". However, the school bus operator also make us pay extra of $5 per day of lesson in June and December on top of the regular monthly bus fee. Why? Is this what everybody is experiencing?
