For those staying in the north, you can try Little Leader Kindergarten. A private kindergarten in Chong Pang at very reasonable fee. There is transport for those who stay in Woodlands, Sembawang and other parts of Yishun (of course got to pay)). They really prepare the kids (esp K2) for P1. I feel this will reduce the shock when kids go to P1.

Been asking around, so far no feed back
Hi, i have got some info from some other parents... My Little Campus and Joy Montessori at sembawang can consider..mainly base on parents expectation..i Will consider either one once visitin all the recommended school..If money isn't your consent, MRC is quite a good place as well.

Anyway thanks for all the information..

I went to see eldeweiss yesterday. found that the environment is very nice and quiet.

What I like about the school is that the main door is locked and cannot open from outside I think. The place looks clean and nice and tidy. a very nice environment for littls kids. Though it is aircon-ed, but there is an outdoor playground or something for children to play.

any recommendations for good preschools in these areas?

im currently looking at New Life Kindy, Edelweiss (new school) Evangel and St Anthony's. the latter is a child care centre but i heard fm a friend that they offer flexi care programmes as well.

any feedbacks on these above mentioned schools? or anyone has better recommendation?

Hi i would like to my bad experience with all the concern parents here. My child used to be in Glucklich Schoolhouse. This school focuses mainly into motorskills. Academically they are not up to the mark. They always have a high turn over of Chinese teachers which they would not be bothered to even update the parents. They accounting system is so bad. And nw I'm out of the school, they claim that they just closed their 2006 accounts and realise that i did not pay my 1 month deposit upon enrollment. But how was that possible!!!! all schools will collect 1 month school fees in advance and refund that upon withdrawl and i clearly remember i did make a payment then. This is not the first case, they have done such tricks on several parents, which I'm trying to get all the parents and write in to MCYS. I don't like to complain, its just a mere hundreds of dollar but what piss me off is the way the Amin lady - Ms Saab handled rhis case. She was RUDE! and even CHAllenged me to write in to MCYS!!! :x
So please parents if you are considering to enrol your child in this school, please think 100 times before enrolling.!!!

Hi faith2u

Have you visited the centres around yishun/sembawang area?

I'm also considering to send my son to a ccc for half day program.
I thought of those along sembawang area like : star learners or perform@junior. I've not visited them yet.

If you have visited, can you share your views / comments with me?
By the way, how old is your child?

Thanks!

Hi all, seems like quite difficult to get preschool in yishun ? I am trying to look for 2 hours playgroup for my boy who is 20 months, either it is too far, too expensive, full or they only accept 2007 babies for 2010 intake.

I would highly recommend Talent Plus Playgroup (with Partial Montessori Programme) at Blk 411 Sembawang Drive. The minimum age to enrol is 18 months. When my toddler hit 18mths, she went to Talent Plus Playgroup. It took her less than 2 weeks to adjust. She enjoys going to school so much that she will shove her bag to me and ask me to bring her to school in the morning. She learns alphabets, numbers, colours, shapes, music, art n craft etc. My daughter's motor skill, language skill and social skill have improved as I sent her for baby contests and judges mentioned that she is very "stable" for her age. Fees: $135/mth for Mon to Fri, 2hr a session, either 9am to 11am or 11.15am to 1.15pm. Website: www.talentplusgroup.net Recommended for kids born in 2007 and 2006 (18 mths to 3.5 yrs). Most importantly,

Hi sembgal, thanks. I was considering talent plus in chong pang but the 9am session is full. My friend's boy was either in talent plus or apple tree in Punggol but the boy does not like the teacher cos she is very fierce but is ok with the asst teacher.
