Half-day or Full-day Child Care?

Hi all, I'm looking around at childcare options and I've heard a couple of stories from friends about how their LOs have to be fetched home from childcare early because they are unable to nap properly in school or have separation anxiety. I was initially planning to put my 2YO at a full day childcare near my work place (as I'm a full-time working mum), but after hearing these stories I've been thinking about whether it's better to place my LO at a childcare near my parents' place just in case I need them to pick her up midday.

Would love to hear your experiences and advice on whether your LOs were able to tolerate full day childcare at 1.5 to 2 years of age? Would you recommend a childcare nearer the work place or nearer to grandparents?

Half-day child care to let the children have to playtime on their own and to let them enjoy.

let them enjoy while they are still at a young age, for we cannot force them to do labor and let them play if they want it. they are still young just support them. it will never matter if the class sessions are too short or long.
