Where will you travel for holiday now?

School terms keep kids in school and parents sane. Holidays can be boring to kids if they are left alone. Discuss vacation ideas and how to make good use of the free time for both children and adults.

I'm considering to bring my family to Ipoh next year. Anyone been there before?
Is that Ipoh in Malaysia?

Fairly typical Malaysian city.
Got good chicken rice and the famous hor fun though.
A good side trip to / from Cameron Highlands.

Basically, these are the major things in Ipoh:
1. 芽菜鸡
2. 沙河粉
3. 白咖啡
4. 柚子

Most of the makan are found on Jalan Yau Tet Sin and Jalan Treatre. The pomelos can be found on Grapefruit Street aka Jalan Simpang Pulai. Want to buy the sweetest, best tasting pomelo? Locals say look for the sweetest, most beautiful looking seller (柚子西施)

Also, when in Ipoh, drop by Sin Eng Heong at Jalan Mustapha Al-Bakri to buy their legendary Kaya Puff. Try to go early and avoid weekends, unless you don't mind waiting for hours. Don't say never gai siao ho liao hor.

I am looking for a thread about Ipoh and this conversation is really helpful. We will be there two weeks from now and we are really excited to visit that place. Thank you for this handful of information!

Not gonna lie if I was to tell you 10 years back that I'm taking my family to Russia, I would say that in a jokingly way. Now however I have https://hellorussia.co.uk/russian-visa- ... on-letter/ and getting that invitation letter has not been easier. Just so you know, In case of any problem with a visa, you are recommended to contact immediately your Visa Sponsor. I'm not saying that I had any problems, it's just good to know.

I agree. This is good to know. Russia, for me, is an enticing place but I don't think a suitable vacation destination for a family with kids below 10 years old.

I envy all the parents here whose busy planning their holiday trip. I really wish we could but my child was just discharged from the hospital because of his leg fracture. Anyway, enjoy your destination fellow parents!

I'm going to Spain on Christmas because I think that it's the best time to go there. The weather is great, not hot, I believe that the water is warm and I hope that there will be less people.
