2010 June Holiday Programmes

School terms keep kids in school and parents sane. Holidays can be boring to kids if they are left alone. Discuss vacation ideas and how to make good use of the free time for both children and adults.

List of June Holiday Course i found - pls add to my list

Postby justlynne » Thu May 06, 2010 11:44 pm

I made a list as I found some interesting program when i googled etc. Appreciate feedback if anyone have sent your kids for the programme. Pls also add to tis list please.....!

1) Fun on Wheels Skate Camp - This seems like one of the most popular holiday program? Saw this on motherhood magazine and it is like this is a skate camp for kids which also include sports and other activities like face painting, acting and multisports etc
www.skate-with-us.com

2) NAFA Arts Kindergarten related Camp - Saw this on ST and they are offering many types of program for kids from dance to photography. www.nafa.edu.sg

3) Bakerzin Baking Workshop - I'm quite keen on this as it's 1 time workshop. but it seems super x at $40plus...any other similar baking workshop that's more wallet-friendly?

Pls comment and add to my list! Thanks!

Bakerzin is quite nice though is more expensive but it comes with a set of baking uniform (hat & apron), and you will get $8 discount for the next class if you bring the uniform set! It is a pity that they only have workshops on weekends even during school holidays.

Genius r us baking workshops are cheaper! But i don't really like the space at Tanjong Pagar, very small! But it has opened another branch at City Squall Mall, has anyone been there?

How old is your child and what are the focus areas you are looking at?
Fun or academic?

My 3yo boy is joining Chinese Speech & Drama this holidays.

Others that I know of:
MRC (Downtown East) - http://rightbrainteaching.com/
Beijing Language School
Science Centre
Julia Gabriel
LoveKids - http://www.lovekids.com.sg/lovekids/upl ... 050410.pdf
http://www.lovekids.com.sg/lovekids/upl ... ESCS_1.pdf

& of course, I'm also holding holiday classes:

You can also consider science discovery camp. I was told it is very fun and have enrolled DS1 in S6 conducted at Tao Nan sch.

I understand that Tien Hsia is also conducting 2 workshops.
