Yes... it's time to start planning. I'm thinking of sending my son for the Discovery Vacation Camps again. It's really value for money.

I came across that site before. Nice and pretty, but information quite lacking. The camps listed on that site seems more like normal enrichment programs than actual camps.
You have any site that provide more interesting information on holiday camps?

I been having argument with my hubby on whether to bring my son (coming 7 months) to KL/Genting with us coming december. His company intends to take airasia to KL (stay 1 night) then to Genting then back to Singapore.

His argument is that our son is too young to take a plane, but last visit to PD, she told us it is okay for him to take plane ride. Then he said bring son along cannot go XXXXXXX. So I suggest bring maid along. Then he said cannot trust new maid with baby overseas.

I told him then I don't go but he insist that I should give myself a break. I told him my son will miss me. The other night my son sent to bed before I reach home. He woke up in the middle of the night and keep searching for me.

Any advice from dad and mom out there?

depends on what you have agreed with your husband when you first got your baby...

there are at least two schools of thought...

1: kids when young need to know independence and to know that they cannot always call for parents when they want something. Kids brought up this way are very capable of taking care of themselves at a very young age. Parents tend to be able to leave them alone without worry for their safety

2: kids when young are always attended-to whenever they have a need. this leads to parents heeding to every beck and call. extremely tiring for the first 5 years at least. Kids brought up this way are extremely close to their parents but cannot be left alone independently.

both have merits and down-sides... which do you subscribe-to?
