keeping kids occupied at home

School terms keep kids in school and parents sane. Holidays can be boring to kids if they are left alone. Discuss vacation ideas and how to make good use of the free time for both children and adults.

Depending on the age of your kid(s), can invite 1 or 2 friends over for some board games (cam be educational type)? My dd n her friends likes all sorts of board games.

depending on how old your kids are.

Baking, making friendship bands, board games, origami, teach them our childhood games like 5 stones, zero point, pick up sticks, etc.

You are going to need lots of board games if you are going to keep ur kids @ home this holidays.

can consider these games for endless fun:
1. Monopoly (can teach money too)
2. Scrabble (increase vocab)
3. Life
4. Uno
5. Bingo (increase vocab)
6. Guess who am I (player would have to mimic the actions of the card so other players can guess who they are)
7. Jigsaw puzzles

Hope this info help.

Thank you for your recommendation.

I just watch a while in this 少年司马光 as I remembered the story of how this boy had saved his friend who almost drown.

Can use the time to brush up their weak subjects. Eg Language tuition or Maths/Science tuition. Or some enrichment courses.

This is what many education savvy parents are doing nowadays.

Because now the student has more time and less stress. And can utilize the time to clear up many of the problems areas they faced.
