Please advise

School terms keep kids in school and parents sane. Holidays can be boring to kids if they are left alone. Discuss vacation ideas and how to make good use of the free time for both children and adults.

Please advise

Brisbane and Gold Coast would be fun for 5 and 7 years old.

According to your list, Brisbane and Gold Coast should be fun.

You will have no problem with communication ...juz get used to the Aussie slang.
Make sure you bring the kids to Sea World and Dream World...My kids , then 6 and 7 enjoyed themselves and still have fond memories of that place.

Shopping at Surfers' Paradise is not bad .... and I remember we sunbathed at Bondi Beach (but fully clothed) The kids were too busy building sandcastles to observe what's going on around them...Mum and Dad were quite distracted though
