Monopoly Deal - a good card game to play this June holidays

School terms keep kids in school and parents sane. Holidays can be boring to kids if they are left alone. Discuss vacation ideas and how to make good use of the free time for both children and adults.

Monopoly Deal - a good card game to play this June holidays

Have you played Monopoly deal before? It is a strategic game that you can play with your kids this holidays. It is cheap ($9.90 at popular) and you just need 2 players to start the game. I have a lot of fun playing with my kids. It is also a great bonding time for the family.

Sound interesting. Is the game same as the standard monopoly? Suitable for what age group?

i would say the gameplay is quite different from the normal monopoly. the concept of collecting all the colours in the set is the same but the way u go about doing it is quite challenging. but that's what makes it fun! haha.

The aim of Monopoly Deal is to see who can collect 3 sets of property first. You have to strategise and decide which cards to be thrown to the floor, which cards to discard and which cards to keep on hand. I think the game is suitable for kids above P2 level to adults of all ages. My P3 son can play pretty well and have a lot of fun. By the way, has anyone played life and cluedo card games before? Worth buying?

It's really a fun game, I agree. Nice thing about it is that it requires a lot lesser time than the actual board game too. We started playing a year ago, was crazy over it for a while....now time to pick it back up again

:offtopic:
There is another game which I like and find it a good game too.
Those keen to find out more can read for more info. http://www.setgame.com/set/rules_basic.htm Image

I bought it a few years ago from a friend who imports good books and games (hobby and biz). However, sometime back, her hubby was posted overseas and she has stopped her biz too.

Not sure if it's available in local stores or must order overseas. I bought mine for ~$26. Considering it's only cards, not cheap but a good game.
Sorry about this, just wanted to share & recommend but forgot may be difficult to get
