Snow ... clean white snow

School terms keep kids in school and parents sane. Holidays can be boring to kids if they are left alone. Discuss vacation ideas and how to make good use of the free time for both children and adults.

Snow ... clean white snow

Postby georgewong22 » Fri Jun 12, 2009 4:09 pm

My children have been pestering me for some time for a "white" holiday. Does anyone here know where a family of 3 could go to enjoy and experience snow?

My kids are rather atopic and as such, need a more hygienic venue. But then again, really do not have the money for an expensive holiday.

Thanks.

we've tried that. we were actually disappointed with the size, the bad maintenance of the place and the filth of the snow and areas inside. i had envisioned it to be like the snow city in dubai. sigh.

Snow city wasn't really that bad when we visited it a few years back. My recollection was that it was REALLY COLD. We had fun then.

I was there with my children a month ago. The one we went to is the Snow City beside the Science Centre. Unless there is another Snow City, the one we went to had nothing but rides down a slope on a tyre tube. Cold yes but like I said, badly maintained.

My kids have been pestering me for ages too. Quite disappointing to hear that it is badly maintain. There use to be one in KL but the place was closed for renovation when I visited last March. So cant comment. There's another one that my sister has just went. It is in China which I thought of going this November.

But where's the nearest country to Singapore that snows? Affordable and clean.
