Fraser's Hill
book one of those colonial bungalows with butler service ..... no need to book the whole house though, just a room will do, shared living room but the cook can cater to your dining hours
or try Pangkor island

I second VK2010 for Pangkor Laut.
Another choice is Banyan Tree Bintan. Advantage of Banyan Tree is that it is easily accessible via ferry.

Well i would personally recommend you to visit India.... Winter is the best time to visit anywhere in India. But to name some specific places:
1. Rajasthan (Famous for its rich Royal heritage
2. Kerala (termed as God's own country
3. Goa (the land of Exotic Beaches

I would recommend Ko Phangan, Thailand.
It's beautiful and close to Ko Samui but is more reasonable in terms of price.

Sorry, can't remember the price I paid. But you can check out the packages on their website.
I love banyan tree so my opinion may be bias..hehe.
So far I've stayed at the one in bintan, lijiang and hangzhou. We had the villa with a jacuzzi facing the sea at bintan. It was beautiful and peaceful. Nothing much to do except spa and relaxation. We arranged a hot pot dining in the villa one night. It was great. One morning, we ordered a picnic basket and brought it with us to the beach. My experience with service and spa at all the banyan trees have been great. Their villas are also beautifully furnished in accordance to the local flavor. Best of all private jacuzzi or pools are so luxurious. If you stay at any banyan tree resort, be sure you plan days for doing nothing other than enjoying the resort.
