It is a nice place. Went there a few times when I was stationed in Bangkok more than 10 years ago. Easy drive, some nice golf clubs to stay at. Good for exploring the golf courses. One time, was there for a running event- run on the road with greenery on both sides- very refreshing.kitty2 wrote:Anyone been to the above? It is 1.5 hours drive from Bangkok.

We visited some waterfalls around there on our own. The park has trails and there are guides/ guided tours by independent operators. Maybe need to check the season- best to avoid too wet or too dry seasons. December is nice and cool, I think.
Try the barbecue chicken and mango salad there- Khorat specialties. There is a night market and Thai restaurants - google 'food in Pakchong' (name of town) and you may find yourself getting quite hungry! : )
