Possible. You need to apply for a visa.

Try this http://www.immi.gov.au/e_visa/visitors.htm

Not sure if they allow online applications now. But when I applied for my helper in 2009, I used form 48R.
http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/pdf/48r.pdf

You will need to supply the standard passport, work permit, itinerary, booking confirmations and a letter stipulating the reason for having your domestic help travel with you.

1 trip to apply, and another trip to collect.

Errr.....dun praise me just yet, only exploring the possibility

It's between sponsoring her air-tix home for a break or bringing her along, and I know which she will prefer!

I bring mine along on most trips, especially those self drive ones. We usually travel with the whole extended family and with her along, she helps with the cooking and laundry.
