How about Albany? Worth staying 2 nights there?

Thanks once again!
Albany is one of those quiet place. If you are into heritage buildings and old Australia history, it's quite a treasure trove. A good base to explore the southern regions.

Hi,
Has anyone went for whale watching in busselton? Planning to try the whale watching western Australia tour with my 5yo n 3yo in Oct. But not sure if they are too young for it or will they enjoy it.
TIA!

I did not do my whale watching in Busselton but I had personally experienced it on the other side of the country (in Harvey Bay). As such, I skipped the tour for my kids (5 and 2) as I doubt they can really appreciate it.

Firstly, it is a long ride on the boat to search for the whales (using sonar locator) and some kids may get sea sick from the travel (pills do help though). Also, once you find the whale, there will be some oooo and ahhhh but the kids will probably get bored, unless they have genuine interest in sea life. It's not like a coral reef where there are lots of stuff to see. Here, it's only a whale (or maybe 2) and that's it.

That said, you probably know your kids likes and dislikes. If it's something that they (or you) look forward to, go for it. Otherwise, it may be better to skip it for another adventure.

Heard of similar things regarding sea sick when whale watching. So don't dare to try when at Perth.

Hi All,

Can anyone suggest a good farm stay in Perth around this time? I'm planning for next year after DS finishes his PSLE exams. Have 3 kids - the other 2 are below 7.

Thanks! :?

It's always fly season in WA between Dec to Feb.
It can be unbearable for some people while others are indifferent.
