Travel: Japan - General

School terms keep kids in school and parents sane. Holidays can be boring to kids if they are left alone. Discuss vacation ideas and how to make good use of the free time for both children and adults.

Thanks.

We bought fr KLOOK & print individual tickets for each pax. Black & white printout is OK. You'll need the printout to scan barcode to get in.

Thanks Esteema. Did you pay in SGD or USD? I read one of the reviews - one was charged in USD instead of SGD n she was so upset.

We bought from Disney directly. Paid in JPY. There's not much diff in terms of dollars, but there's a slight convenience you will enjoy which is you proceed straight to the Main gates to have your A4 printout scanned.

Disney FAQ:
"The Park tickets you will receive do not need to be exchanged, so you can go straight to the Main Entrance and be admitted."

kLook or 3rd party agents - you need to go to Maihama station ticket booth to exchange for the vouchers. Queue or no queue to swop vouchers depends on how busy that day is.

If you stay at Disney hotel/partner hotel, you can buy tickets at the hotel, then go direct to entrance

We paid in SGD. When you go to their website, ensure that you click for KLOOK Singapore and then Tokyo Destination. If u're first time using KLOOK, think u get $5 discount.

Please print each e-ticket for individual pax and check that it's different serial numbers. We printed whole family in Spore, but on site we discovered one was duplicate serial number. It's very convenient to print again & we had no problem entering. The reason why you need hardcopy bcoz u scan immediately at the gate. We didn't need to queue for entry. You can't use your email on hp to scan bcoz u hv to slip in yr e-tic at gantry.

We didn't need to buy fast pass when we were there in Oct & managed to complete majority of rides. Not sure cold winter will hv crowds tho.

Hope you hv a great holidaytime it's your family!

Mainly is due to the weights.... Domestic flight only can carry 20kg. But Sq can carry 35kg. As i will be flying back to sg on the same day therefore I'm afraid from Sapporo back to Tokyo will over weight if carry everything there. By the way, anyone know is it possible to buy extra weights for ANA airway? Thnks

If you have more people checking in together, you can share the weight entitled ? Like I travel with a family of 4 and each of us has got 20kg so total we have 80kg?

For domestic I use JAL and when I did online reservation there isn’t an option to buy extra kg.

No need to buy excess baggage upfront since you won’t be getting a discount. Wait till they have pooled your free baggage allowance and determined how much excess is chargeable first.

You can buy the tickets at Disneyland
http://www.tokyodisneyresort.jp/en/ticket/ (Prices shown in this website)
Go on a weekday morning will be good.
Check the day’s weather as if it rains, the parade will be cancelled.
