May I know what other websites are there to search for VIA opportunities other than sgcares? Thanks.
I'm not too sure what you mean exactly by the term VIA. You can check out https://www.facebook.com/VolunteerNowww though if that's what you're looking for!
Thanks. VIA stands for Value In Action, it is the new term used to replace CIP.

Thanks, but I don't think my parents will feel very safe or comforted with me being overseas, and they won't have the time to come along with me. D:

MSA help volunteers to ease into the befriending session, allowing them to have meaning volunteering session at the Dialysis Centre.

How Does it Benefit the Volunteers
This programme is a good exposure for volunteers who are considering to work in a clinical settings in the future. Volunteers would be able to interact with patients at the clinical settings. [Volunteer Groups in Singapore]
Dear Friends,

If you wish to volunteer your time and service but are clueless on what's available out there, do check out this list of Volunteer Groups that I have compiled (to the best of my knowledge, feel free to add). You can look through these Facebook pages to better understand the mission of each group, the activities organized and type of support required. The good thing about these groups is that volunteering is totally ad hoc and no regular commitment is expected, so you can actually go try once and decide if you want to go back again the next time round. Most of these volunteer groups are set up by some like-minded friends, ordinary people like you and me, who have the passion to give and make a difference to the lives of the less fortunate. Please do give them your support because they do not rely on funds or grants from the government or any sponsors, which makes what they achieve very admirable.

Hi parents,

May I know what's the minimum CIP hours all the secondary students need to perform every year?
Is there any difference between IP and non-IP students?
Or IP students can accumulate the CIP hours over the 6 years?
Do these Value In Action (VIA) projects who award CIP hours need to be endorsed/approved by their own schools?
Anyone experienced doing street sales but no CIP hours awarded, because their school is not endorsing the street sales?

Any recommendations to do VIA this June?
