Previously under 8 cannot enter even if there's an adult? Can't recall the conditions.

2 yrs ago, the min. age to climb unaccompanied by an adult was 16, I think. Didn't notice the lower limit. Looks like they changed the rules a bit.

Has anyone done any research on data/phone plans for Italy?

Read TA extensively, and I plan to get the TIM Welcome plan. Anyone canshare their experience buying SIM cards from italian service providers? Are there language barriers and should I print out what i need and just point out to them what i am trying to buy?

I've been to Italy in Nov, years ago! In general, autumn is a good time to visit Europe - not too cold, not too hot, not too crowded, and before some things start to shut down in the winter. Most people go in the summer and winter because of school holidays.

Look into open-jaw flight tickets, eg. fly into Venice & fly out from Rome; in between the major cities, ie. Venice-Florence-Rome travel by very accessible & convenient train service.

Depending on how much time there is & what are the must-sees for you, look into day trips or stopovers from / in between the major cities. Lots of suggested Itineraries online, eg. https://www.earthtrekkers.com/15-best-p ... sit-italy/
