Italian Summer Camp For Kids - Sicily Indeed

School terms keep kids in school and parents sane. Holidays can be boring to kids if they are left alone. Discuss vacation ideas and how to make good use of the free time for both children and adults.

Italian Summer Camp For Kids - Sicily Indeed

Hello everybody :boogie:

How would you consider the idea of a place in Italy, surrounded by the sea and the mountains, where your children, under the supervision of experts, would spend one or two weeks having fun with other kids, drawing, learning italian, going to the beach or, in the winter, to the mountain Etna covered in snow, and where the main purpose is to teach them the meaning of frienship, education and, last but not least...FUN?

Waiting for your feedback.

Yes, very fun.

How much?
Parents allowed to join in?
Medium of instruction is English or Italian?
Food provided?
Who are 'the other kids'? Locals or international kids?

Hi Jetsetter, thanks for your reply. I am pleased to share with you my ideas.

The project was born from the idea of giving a holiday period, through international bonding and experience, organized following a structured program in a daily light schedule, in which “Kids” can express their artistic skills through painting, singing, dancing, (arranging evening shows), they can learn uses, customs and traditions of different countries through the cohabitation and collaboration with other “kids” from other countries and Italy itself, develop a sense of multiculturalism and spontaneous sociability. In other words, international issues and different cultures will be faced in everyday life. As far as the presence of parents is concerned, we think that in order to create an atmosphere in which kids can freely express themselves, parents should stay out of games and activities, so that children will develop a sense of individual sociability. In addition, the Camp is aimed at an age ranging from 9 to 13 years, in which kids are self-sufficient and do not need the assistance of a parent. Not only is it a way to let kids grow up and enjoy, but also an opportunity for parents to plan their own holiday according to their own wishes and privacy as a couple… Why not just once a year

Regarding the food, will be set an international daily meals program provided to children, respecting any dietary needs requested. The lessons will take about two hours in the morning, and will be both in Italian and English. In any case, nice and responsible bilingual assistants will look after the children all day and night long.

The fees depend on different factors: the duration of the sojourn (one/two weeks), additional requests for your kids, the possibility of discounts for already arranged group, the period of the season, etc…
That being said, let’s launch a survey! I would like to know what you think about the points treated, and if you have any other ideas which could add value to the project.
