Travel: France

School terms keep kids in school and parents sane. Holidays can be boring to kids if they are left alone. Discuss vacation ideas and how to make good use of the free time for both children and adults.

Travel: France

Planning a driving trip around France, starting from Bordeaux to Nice for about 7-10 days. Primary aim is to experience the cities beyond Paris, French countryside, particularly the autumn colors.

Looking forward to sharings/advice by those who have made the trip or visited interesting places along this route.
Marseille
Avignon
Nimes
Provence
Nice
Eze
Monaco (if there's time n budget)

Thanks in advance.

Riding on this thread, anybody who has spent about 2 wks holidaying in France on rail, appreciate to share your tips/itinerary. Mine likely to start and end at Paris. Thanks.

Hi bebebub,
Likely to be end Oct or early Nov.
Unconfirmed as it depends if I can get attractive airfares and have the time to plan the itinerary. Basically, I intend to spend max 2 wks in France or France plus Switzerland.

Yes I will move around by train. We will only be in Paris for 4 Days thereafter taking TGV train to Switzerland.
Will be purchasing the Swiss Pass.
