Going on a solo holiday

School terms keep kids in school and parents sane. Holidays can be boring to kids if they are left alone. Discuss vacation ideas and how to make good use of the free time for both children and adults.

Going on a solo holiday

One of my close girlfriends wants to go on solo holidays to recharge and refresh herself.. any suggestions which country is safe for her to explore on her own? Kinda concerned about her safety..

Go to a place that your friend is familiar or comfortable with.

She has been to Hongkong, Malaysia and Australia on her own.. so far no issues..

Is Taiwan, Korea, Japan, Phuket and Bali safe if she go by herself?

Yes, yes, yes, yes and yes.

The only places I won't recommend for single female traveller are India, Iran and Afghan. Probably, most countries in the Africa continent as well.

I agree and do not travel alone to places like Shenzhen, Dongguan and Guangdong area as there is high pickpocket cases there.

There is danger almost everywhere. As long as one remains alert, she should be ok.

For Phuket and Bali, don't sunbathe in bikini or dress scantily and check if someone's followed her back to her hotel room. Beware of pp spiking her drinks if she goes clubbing alone. Also, bring Imodium in case kenna LS from drinking ice water in Phuket/Bali.

Hello,
I guess China or India would be good for her because in days there must be some festive season going and it will really rejuvenate her mood again...
