Harbin During Winter

How old are your kids? Kids can generally take the cold better than adults. They have higher metablic rates and generate more heat! But it can be hassle to wrap them up well if they are young as it takes time and they may not like it. I haven't been to Harbin, but my parents went about 10 yrs ago. As long as you wrap up well outdoors, there's heating indoors. It will be very dry, so you will need good moisturising for skin and lips.

We went Harbin during Winter couple of years back. My kids were 6 and 8 then. They coped well with the weather, I was the one who was feeling cold all the time! They enjoyed running on frozen lake and the ice festival, having ice cream that will never melt, and there was a restaurant where robots will serve you food.... all in all, we had a good time. If you feel too cold, go indoors to warm up before you explore again.

I took my kids, 12 years old girl and 9 years old boy, to Harbin and even colder place, Snow town last Dec. Kids can adjust well to cold weathers. Boots, scarfs are must. Once we were back to Beijing for flight back to SG from Harbin and the Snow town, Beijing's winter is nothing to them at all. So no need to worry at all, and have a pleasant trip ahead!
