Hi, chilliechacha, in fact I am considering about the GP Master. Just happen to see his advertisement 2 weeks ago and had called him. The only setback is must have at least 2 j2 students to start the group tuition. Happy to see your recommendation as I am not sure about the tutor's background. May I know how's your girl's progress? Thanks in advance for your great help. :celebrate:

Hi, I'm offering intensive GP group tuition for the 2013 A levels. Class starts in August until November. Do contact Casandra at 81680677 if you are interested.

I have been tutoring students 1-1 but they have been recommending me to all their friends. Due to limited timeslots available, I will be opening a group session for 2h once a week. Rates are lower than my private tuition charges and will be at $250/mth for 4 lessons. My methodology is effective and my lessons are insightful. I will help students explore topics on a more mature level and teach them question answering and essay techniques that are not explicitly taught in schools.

I welcome students with financial difficulties to contact me for negotiable rates as I fully understand your situation. This should not prevent you from getting the education you need, as long as you are willing to learn.

With the workload of students ever increasing and the standards of education elevating in leaps and bounds, most students will need home tuition.

School teachers can never pay too much attention to each students. While some smarter students can survive, others need more help from other sources. Home tuition has become more important than ever.

However, how do we choose the right agency to find the right tutor. This eassay summarizes the important points you need to take note. We shall summarize it to five points:

Large Database & Quality: The agency must have a database of over 15,000 tutors comprising of full-time professors, lecturers, school teachers, graduates, undergraduates, etc, to cater to the needs of students of different levels and financial abilities. In Singapore, we need the tutors to mainly come from the top instituitions in Singapore:

National University of Singapore (NUS)

NanyangTechnological University (NTU)

Singapore Management University (SMU)

Singapore Institute of Management (SIM/UNISIM)

Furthermore, to put our clients’ mind at rest, We need the agency to ensure tutor to produce his or her certificates to the clients on the first day of tutoring.

Affordability: We understand that the cost of living in Singapore is rather high and hence we don’t believe in paying exorbitant prices for tuition. We want to lighten the financial burdens of students and their parents. Thus, the agency must always try to negotiate the best deal possible for the clients, and at the same time, not compromising on the standards of the tutors.

Follow-up service: We always believe in ensuring customer satisfaction. Hence, the clients must be able to feedback any dissatisfaction they have with their tutors and the agency must do a replacement for them immediately.

Efficiency: The agency must be committed to find the right tutor for our clients in the shortest possible time.

We care: The agency must treat each tuition recommendation as more than just a business transaction. They want every client to be satisfied with our service and want to build a long-term relationship with everyone of you. Hence, they are always approachable and welcome any enquiries relating to tuition or the educational system in Singapore.

Need the best tuition agency in Singapore? There is one that fulfill all requirements stated above. Please click here http://www.edustarasia.com.sg.

I re-post of message here:

After years of mentoring and coaching students, I came to a conclusion that the best way to help mediocre students to excel academically is through a long term coaching, hence my strong preference of mentoring my students since the very start of their learning journey.

Transiting from primary to secondary school is a great divide incomprehensible by most students. It is here that most mediocre students would break down and unable to recover. This is because secondary education requires a major change is learning approach, and an accompanying development of intellectual and emotional capability to cope with the stress of learning. Learning is an unnatural act where human brain and body must get attuned to it in order to excel in it. Some students seem to attain this effortlessly, and we call them gifted or endowed group. But most would need to struggle through the process and transform. This process needs time and effort, and most critically, continued guidance and encouragement.

I typical take my students from Sec 1 and stay with them through JC. In this way, I know their foundation, strengths and weaknesses. I can structure my coaching according to their temperament and learning styles. I am also particular proud of my ability to coach N level students, whom most tutors would try to avoid.

I have several slots for Sec 1 students who stay in the West to subscribe. My place is just a few minutes from an MRT station. My group typically consists not more than 4 students, and they are grouped based on their learning speed; 4 sessions of 1.5 hours per week for single subject, or 8 sessions of 2 hours for 4 subjects. Please message me if you are keen.

Hi, since my posting on this thread last year, I have expanded my number of GP classes as well as acquired a teaching premise at Woodlands.

I am offering Intensive GP Group Tuition for the 2014 A Levels.

I have been tutoring students 1-1 and they have been recommending me to all their friends. Due to limited timeslots available, I have started four weekly small group sessions (limited to 6 students per group). Rates are lower than my private tuition charges and will be at $250/mth for 4 x 2h lessons.

My methodology is effective and my lessons are insightful. I will help students explore topics on a more mature level and teach them question answering and essay techniques that may not be taught in schools.

I welcome students with financial difficulties to contact me for negotiable rates as I fully understand your situation. This should not prevent you from getting the education you need, as long as you are willing to learn.

Do contact Casandra at 81680677 if you are interested!
