How about Science tuition?

Post by skyjuice » Sun Sep 05, 2010 2:19 pm

I understand different schools practise differently. DS's sch taught Physics and Chemistry first half of S1. Second half was Physics and Bio. S2 first half I heard is Physics and BIo then Physics and Chem 2nd half. How does tuition centres cover the topics then?

yes, in fact many schools teaches different science topics at different time of the year.

children who attend big group tuition centres will face a problem where they are learning different topics from what their school is currently teaching them.

in such a case, i would think that 1 to 1, or very small group tuition can help. there are some centres which provides small group tuition and customised material, they teach and cater to each child individually. i think such centres will be more helpful then.

just my 2 cents. :)

Agree. The Science topics taught are very different amongst schools. One to one tuition will be better but not easy to find good personal tutor for science in lower sec... I didn't have any luck.

Secondary School Tuition

Post by teddybutter98 » Tue Dec 18, 2012 11:24 am

I am looking for a Maths tuition class for my daughter (Sec 1) around either AMK or Hougang area.
Any feedback on Benjamin Maths or Kent Ridge?

Hmm. Never heard of Benjamin Maths. Kent Ridge proved to be quite okay for my friend's dd. But her results quite stagnant, so pulled out, I think it really depends on your child. Maybe u should let her try out at either 1 centre for a month and see if she can adapt to their teaching methods?
