Chinese tutor needed

Postby sowminiarun » Sat Dec 20, 2014 10:45 am

Hi,
I am looking for a good chinese tutor (preferably MOM teacher or an ex MOM teacher) for my son who will be going to P3. Our mother tongue is not chinese. We speak English at home. We live in a neighborhood that is almost equidistant to Simei, Pasir Ris and Tampines. Please let me know if anyone is available and interested.

Basically I am looking for someone who can identify his strengths and weaknesses and come up with individualized lesson plans for him and instill him an interest in the chinese language.

Regards
Sowmini

Hi, I would like recommend my Chinese Tutor. She is able to identify my weaknesses and provide simple explanationand interesting ways to tackle different components in Chinese examination. However I would like to know if you and your son are able to communicate and understand Chinese(simple Chinese will do) as my tutor is not able to communicate in English. If you are interested, you can contact her by 94267223 (Mdm Chuang), you can type messages in English as her children understand English and has been translating for her. She lives in Pasir Ris.

I know of a Chinese tutor, Mdm Huang, who had been teaching Chinese for over 10 years. She teaches students from preschool all the way up to O'Levels, and has received extremely positive feed-back consistently. Her teaching style is unique with self-prepared materials for the students, specially modified to suit the needs of Singapore students. She came from China and has a diploma in Chinese Literature, but after staying in Singapore for more than 10 years is now very familiarised with the Singapore education system. She used to write for a Chinese Newspaper and had published many short stories online, which had all received astounding responses from netizens.

However, because her timetable is rather packed, she can only accept students who would be able to go to her place at Yishun or attend the classes at Woodgrove Community Centre in Woodlands. The lessons will be held during weekends from afternoon to night. However, if you were staying in the North, she may be able to go to your place.

Her fees are rather affordable, and you can contact her via SMS at 96668098 for more information.
