Dear KSPs

I read in the other thread abt ‘healing crisis’…. My problem is that my 2 boys are veri prompt to running nose, phelgmy cough which will lead to bronchitis. Doctor diagnosis that they have sensitive airway and DS1 ever developed into asthma…

One of the relative recommended Phyto-cellular nutrition, DS2 is taking it well but DS1 will have constipation n running nose, phelgmy cough etc after taking the nutrition.

My MIL said that the nutrition is not suitable for him and stop giving it to him. How do I know that it is part of the ‘healing crisis’ or he’s just not suitable?? And how to explain or convince my MIL that this is part of healing………..

Hi kwk,

Are your kids suffering from sinus? My DS does.
We stopped cow milk, and chicken for him, moderate intakes of chocolates and sugar, which effectively reduced his phlegm.

I personally think, all supplements have loading on kidney and liver, especially for growing kids, though I had tried gummy bears, but found them to induce phlegm as well...

We visited many TCM, and eventually found Toa Payoh Chung Hwa clinics reasonable and effective for him, is about $21 per visit/ week.

Was thinking of seeking second opinion....the current PD always give them vetoline for cough, something which I don't like giving to them.

Hmm……I agreed with u. That’s y I’m willing to try all means to prevent them from getting sick….. taking medicine is like a daily affair to them which makes me heartache. I brought them to Yu Guo only if the western medicine don’t work on them. Think will have to bring them there more often.

Thanks

We also go to Chung Hwa hospital at Toa Payoh. Both me and my kids have sinus/allergies and I think TCM is the best way to treat these kind of chronic problems. Not sure if TCM also has side effects but should be much less harmful than the western allergy medicines, which tend to focus on treating the symptoms rather than the root of the problems.
