oh yes! My kids have been taking turn to fall sick the last few weeks, fever and coughing non stop until my girl was diagnosed with mild Pneumonia. The doctor at KKH is unsure whether there was presence of Mycoplasma. This week is my turn for MC, me too has high fever and now down with cough and runny nose. Almost every parents i talk to, their children are also sick with the same symptons.

My DS has been ill for almost 2 weeks as well.

Started first with runny nose, watery eyes and high fever (bet 38.3 to 38.9) for 2 days or so. Had to sponge him several times in the night as panadol was not really very effective. An onslaught of cough took over once the fever died down and he's been having it since. Its the wet, chesty kind of cough.

When I finally brought him to see a doctor, I was told most prob its some sort of a viral attack. On the whole though, he's been cheerful :xedfingers:

He is on the road to recovery now :D

hi autumnbronze,

do you give only paracetamol if kid has fever >38.5C? should also give med for high-grade fever leh... i give neurofen. if temp shoots up quickly and it's >39 when we first discover, will use suppository instead for quick relief.
