last time my dd had constipation. she will cry and toss her whole body around the bed when passing motion. due to that, there is tear on her anus.
now whenever she want to pass motion, she will cry non-stop. that scene really hurt me...so heart pain..
i brought her to consult private and KKH doctor but they just prescribe cream and oral stool softerner..also no help...
now her poo poo is no longer hard like last time as i give her plenty of fruits, water & prune juice. though poo poo not hard but she still cry whenever passing motion.

anyone have any idea how to stop her pain? i really desperate...
really painful to see yr loved ones cry non-stop...

Poor gal.. ..
Have you tried giving her Yakult/ Vitagen?
My DS have this regularly and never had any problem, and poopoo daily..
He does not eat enough fruits and vege too.

Hope she gets better soon

In the case of my dd2, due to lactose intolerance she is always on Isomil. Isomil is typically prescribed when kids have diarrhoea. So she is constipated most of the time.

Her motion would come out like the size of a tennis ball! So can imagine how painful it is. On the lighter side, when she is passing motion, we would say she is giving birth to "baby" soon. As she grows older and less Isomil intake, her problem eventually went away.

since poo poo no longer hard, she is probably crying out of fear rather than pain.

Hopefully with more lots of TLC and assurance, over time she would get over this psychological fear.

jiebdiaobei,
My DS was drinking Yakult at that age liao.
Perhaps you can check with a GP first.. ..
Can start with half bottle and perhaps her favourite flavour.
Do not drink more than a bottle a day hor.

My kids eat apple every day and normally they can poo poo every day. I don't give them Yakult as I find it too sweet. They eat yogurt often too. I'll mix up the plain one with the sweetened one so it won't be too sweet for them.

On the days they're :imconstipated: , I'll cook papaya and sweet potato soup. Almost guarantee they can go the next day
