XRAY SHOWED LUNGS HAVE SHADOWS-CAREGIVER GRIEVANCES

Yesterday, spouse told me that his lungs has a shadow in the xray film...
when I heard it I nearly fainted..... :(

Ten years ago, spouse had a heart attack...went for operation...but recovered quickly as he was young only early 30s
I was then expecting my 2nd child...
Bite the bullet and managed to cross the hurdles without sheding a tear

Last year 2009 , spouse was diagnosed with rectum cancer stage 2....
I ,as the caregiver went through hell...my life was upside down

Spouse lost 20Kg within 1 month...cannot sleep, cannot eat...
VERY weak
So you can imagine how stressed I was...
But I had a feeling...we can cross this hurdle again...
So we won the battle again!!!

But now he tell me a 10cm shadow in the lungs might be a tumor ...might be cancerous

This time I have bad feelings...Cancer in the Lungs seems so complicated...
Always hear Lung Cancer spread like fire...
I have a friend who lost the battle to Lung Cancer....

Monday is the actual scan to determine what is this shadow...
Thursday will be the result....

Since yesterday, I have been losing concentration...doing the wrong things...
Really no confident against this ....

But still I have to put up a brave front and tell my spouse it will be OK...

But deep inside me , I am breaking down :(

When things get tough, come unload your burden here in ksp. Always a listening ear (or eye) here.

Jia you jia you.

always get 2nd opinion, love.

btw, who confirmed the "shadow" as tumor or cancerous? professional medical personnel will never utter those dreadful words unless they're VERY sure.

don't scare yourself/husband/children unnecessarily.

Oh dear Dolphinsiah...............I don't know what to say to encourage you. I know health and financial woes are the two worst things in life to experience.

Let's hope that the shadows turn out negative. Also, I think its good to start your husband on some health supplements like anti-oxidants or wheatgrass that have proved to be anti-cancer.

Take care, dolphinsiah. Been thru heart-wrenching anguish and guilt, relief but now, back to anguish all over again with my mum's battle with cancer, a cycle of more than 10 years. I totally understd how you're feeling.

Don't lose hope, be strong for your hubs and kids.

If doc detect shadow, further investigation & exam are needed. Had 1 close friend having same problem. After all the reports came back, it's negative. Not all chest x-ray are carried out perfectly. It can be due to human or equipment error.
Keep us update. Think all KSP can offer some help.
