I do not know of food that beats stress but my favourite stress buster was in the past running and now playing with my DS.

Playing or spending some quality time with loved ones is a good way to beat stress.

Living life to the fullest is the best way to tackle stress. Always having a positive approach and being lively are some of the things that could help you control stress apart from the food and exercise. There are many other ways to tackle stress but until you don't have a good approach and the urge to score it would not be fruitful.

even pre-schoolers are under stress according to my son's PD...

some other way to beat stress:
listening to soothing music,
practice moderation like yoga, taiji...

anything else?

If parents can lower their expectations of their kids, a huge portion of stress would be taken away...both from the parents as well as the kids.

I eat regularly all the stress-busting foods (except almonds), plus lowered my expectations of both kids, and I meditate and yoga too but still can't help feeling stressed over my mum.

Yup. I agree as well..

Not about food.. Lavendar also do a good trick. The scent will help you to relax and be more calm.
