my friend also used to have ankle/foot pain and after wearing fitflop sandals, she feels no more pain. You may try. Available in major departmental stores at about $100+/pair.

Don't think TCM is the right thing to turn to. Maybe can try a podiatrist to solve your problem (likely to be misalignment of the bones of your feet that can be corrected by specialised footwear).
which are the major departmental stores that i can find this fitflop slippers...
the slippers look very ordinary, i would like to try for its comfort
u mentioned podiatrist, i dun know of any......
any1 u can recommend ?? btw,do u know of their usual charges for consultation, etc

I suggest you see a doc for this. It may be bone spur (骨刺).
i have seen a doc b4, (but he's not a specialist)
he said prob is due to poor blood circulation......(prob lah...as i seldom exercise...... )
arhhh.....bone spur??? i dun think so, becos of the pain where it comes fr, the part below the big toes and the nearby areas....
Actually neither was I a fan of needles, which was why it was my first time too. But the pain was bad because it lasted a few days after the cramp attack when I stretched it one morning getting up from bed. Since the acupuncture took away the pain, I am now convinced of its function. In any case, I would probably only return to that same physician if I need any help for any ailment as I am not sure if there are bogus practitioners in the market to spoil the market for acupuncture art of cure.markfch wrote:As I'm not a fan of needles, I think acupuncture is out for me. When I said traditional oriental remedy, I was hoping that someone can recommend my favourite food leh. Frog legs or pig trotters. Then I got justification to put on more weight. When she did it, she told me acupuncture would be really fast effect. Being a skeptic, I took her words with a pinch of salt , as I expected immediate relief but did not get it.
However, the magic happened on my way home....the moment I hit home, the pain was all gone. Actually that was already quite a good speed of recovery considering I had been walking around with the pain for at least 2 days.

You know after reading the book on the Mircale of Magnesium...
I find it is quite true that we we are losing a lot of important minerals and one of it is Magnesium...
Doctors when training in Medical School ....the emphasis of supplments are not fully taught...
So that is why Supplements are always overlook....
But this Doctor from USA her research on this Magnesium is great...
She points out Magnesium is the supporting of other important medicine...
without it the medicine could not work properly...
Although we can get Magnesium thru Vegetables...but nowadays the way how farming is process...the soil used...the acid rain.... most supplements are already not properly absorb....by the plants...
