I've been introduced to Chitosan which is a natural food fiber derived from shellfish.

Apparently, it helps to excrete the fats & cholesterol in our body and also maintains a healthy blood glucose level.

Any comment? :D

Hi maki, I have not tried Chitosan before. However, I have tried another - Organic Lacto Fiber. I like the taste and it is made from natural stuff such as fruits, greens, seeds and grains.

Organic Lacto Fiber not only helps to flush out the oil from our body, it is also cleanses the toxins in our body, and strengthens our immune system. It is a food and not a medication. I do know that there are people who takes this as a meal replacement such as for supper, tea or even breakfast. If taken 1/2 hrs before meal, it really reduces hunger pangs and tends to eat less. I have even heard stories about people with high blood pressure and cholesterol becoming o.k. after taking it.

I just started taking for a few days. Started bcos of all the strong recommendation. However, I am not really taking to loss weight, more for health purpose.

But like what I say, the friend who recommend to me said that a lot of nurses are buying for their own use, so can't be that bad. The best part of this Lacto Fiber is, it is suitable for pregnant and breastfeeding mums, since all ingredients are natural. Since I am still breastfeeding, I think this is the best for me. :) I don't think there is any product that can slim down while breastfeeding, that is why I recommend this. If they claim can be taken for pregnant and breastfeeding mum, should be very natural and not harmful.

Wow, thanks for your feedback. Is there any particular brand and can I buy this from major pharmacies?

You can try either Spirulina or Yaeyama Chlorella (they are types of algae) for constipation. Don't have to take both at the same time. Just one or the other. Since I started taking them this year, I find that my bowel movements are more regular.

Hi Village Girl, I heard that for very bad constipation is take 3 times daily. Is it that using that recommendation also didn't work for you? I have a friend who do have constipation and I am thinking of recommending to her, bcos so far all I heard is positive feedback. I am just starting to take it but just trying it out as I don't have any problem with myself.
