Hi there

My 5 yr old son has just been diagnosed with lazy eyes and was told to go patching with glasses for 2 hours every day.

His left eye myopia was +1.25 with astig of -2.00 which was quite high. Right eye no myopia issue but with astig of -0.50.

Is there any way we can do to reduce the astigmatism?

Appreciate all yr advise.

Seatwork/ close work will further strain the eyes. Besides doing his eye exercises, I restrict my son's lego/ reading/ screen time and make sure he goes out cycling etc everyday. Studies have shown that OUTDOOR play has a protective effect on vision.
