She is seven and a half yrs old and started losing her hair.
It falls out when I comb her hair or wash.
Its looks like the hair come out from the scalp straight away.
There is no proof of breaking off. Its just comes out when I run my fingers through it.
My daughter eats well and she is not fussy .

Maybe the shampoo is not suitable for her?

Did you bring her to see a doctor? How long has this been? My DD also had their hair fall off when they were younger, when I checked with the doctor, it was because they had a high fever not long before, probably they took some medication, and the hair start falling off after that. But it grew again.

I would advise you to see a doctor.

I know what you mean.. maybe you can ask the doctor to let you know the diagnosis after that in private. Now sure if 7 yo to use head & shoulder shampoo is too "strong" for a child?

At one stage, my girl also had this hairfall problem. I experimented with a few shampoo brands and finally settled for one when I noticed some improvement. I have also included soft boiled eggs in her diet that are thought to be good in promoting healthy hair.

P.S. Personally, I am not sure it's ideal to use head and shoulder on a 7 yo.

I noticed that since my 7-yo dd kept long hair, she has hair fall problem. I think it's due to the pulling of hair and tying it for that few hours in school. Since she still has healthy looking hair, I was not too concerned.

My daughter also used to have this experienced of losing hair at young age. Her hair will fall everytime when i combed her hair gently. She has straight , thin and slightly brownish hair. She looked sick having long hair. So i would cut her hair at shoulder length and tried not to wash her hair often.

We faced the same problem when my daughter is 1.5 - 2 yrs old. Now she is coming to 3 years old and seems like the problem is gone

Maybe like what other people said, it is due to medicine? She fell since every month when she is 1yrs - 2yrs old. Now body is stronger and didn't fall sick so often. Maybe that explains

But it is always prudence to go for a checkout?
