ha ha tell it to my in-laws who are ultra clean and go :!: if they every see a microscopic dust on the utensiles and won't even allow ds to touch the walls when going up the stairs because it's dirty. Some times I am even "glad" the maid lapse in the level of hygiene / or close one eye if DS eat food he had droped on the home table (which is cleaned everyday) :P

This one I agree.... being too clean is no good for long term health.

My rule is for every 3 pieces of cake/bread/apple/etc dropped on the floor, I will order DD to pick up and eat it. Wash first if won't disintegrate under faucet.

.....Just kidding..... depends on the situation lah.

Drop on hawker centre floor, food considered KIA liao.

Drop in kitchen after sunday mop, pick up and eat.

Thanks for the great article, insider! I've read somewhere before regarding air cleaners... you know... those we buy off the shelf at Best Denki, etc. A dust-free environment may actually reduce our immunity level such that we cannot cope with bacteria-filled environment when we get out of that clean environment.

I agree. I have 2 cousins from same family. Girl is like parents, extremely picky about cleanliness but everytime got a little bit of dirt, fall sick from stomach ailments, etc. Boy "defied" parents and has "normal human" standards for cleanliness and his immune system is good.
