Hey all parents here
shouted help for all mommies ........ and doctors!!!!

My boy had a bad fell which punched by his classmate.
after this an accident we went straight to chinese clinice for message. But due to his age. And no massage only given us a bottle of ointment apply @ the back. chinese doctor siad.

Unfortunately, my boy wanna to go school and he carried his school bag. suddenly felt terrible pain. He complainted!!
And requested a X-ray to be done. results was out and reports stated
"Mild Lumbar Scoliosis Convex to the Left"

Does, any parents heard this names' term before?
Am so piss off & upset and stressed. Its due the the bullier and caused the pain? or due to the long carried school bag?

am so failed as a mother!

Give Yi Jin Tang TCM Healthcare clinic a call (64660668). They specialise in joint pain, dislocated bones/pressed nerves. Was just there on Mon to have my painful wrist treated. He's also treating my niece (Sec 2) for scoliosis (18 degrees to left). best to bring along the X-ray.

hihin, wld u mind to share with me more details which concern ur niece. as in which year discover, what kind of braces n weight, to be adjust needs, how long nid to put on, how many years she had wear it & its suffer& hot while put tis on? u may pm me. thks!

Think my niece's scoliosis was first diagnosed sometime in 2009. If I recall correctly, it was first spotted by HPB during one of the checkups in school. Worsened by 5 degrees from Nov 09 to Sept 10. Poor girl couldn't even go shopping with her family without having to sit down after a couple hours to get some relief from the pain. Says much better now after the Yi Jin Tang treatment; can now jalan-jalan without any pain. Got a note from Mr Teo (the sinseh) excusing her from physically demanding CCA (running, ball games, etc).

The first questions Mr Teo asked my sis were: 1) Did she have a habit of doing homework while lying on the floor on her stomach? 2) Did she eat at the coffee table while sitting on the floor and leaning forward)? My sis sheepishly answered yes to both. Apparently this makes the spinal misalignment worse!

My niece has skipped some sessions with Mr Teo coz they live quite far away from the clinic and she's been busy with CCA and what not. Been nagging at my sis to take her more often.

In your son's case, the scoliosis could have been caused by his fall. If it's just that treatment should only be a few sessions (massage, med & plaster) and he should be ok after that. In any case, when he's ok, do make sure the bottom part of his backpack rests on the lower back and that he uses both straps. The 'crooked spine' type that my niece has seems to have a partially genetic cause -- her dad's sis also has it but doesn't cause her much pain. It affects mostly girls. As for braces, these are used only for severe cases (25 degrees and above).

OMG! this is another 10 years investment poor kids and parents:(

About $40-50 per session, I think. How old is yr boy? The younger they are, the faster they heal.

It is Chinese Sinseh? S$40-$50 per session.
My boy 7+ years. Yes, this is what i think the more yourger the more can treat.

I asked and enquiries those GP western Physio. Cost per session @$90 +..... quite costly. Sigh!!!!

Yup, Chinese sinseh. BTW he speaks English and they don't take appointments so just walk-in. If you don't drive, the best way to go there is to take the MRT to Lavendar Station, use the exit leading to ICA Building and walk across the bridge behind ICA Building.
