I am very concerned about my son who is born with sweaty palm and soles. Worst case, his palms developed rashes that cause itchiness, soles that cause his feet to smell Any remedy??

I realised that my dd (k2) also have sweaty palms and she claims that it's the other party that has it.

For shoes, you can try those powder/ spray and only let him wear leather shoes as that will help in reducing/ eliminating the smelly issue. Have that issue with another child so got him to use those scholl spray and also try to source for leather school shoes for him.

ooo, thank you. He does dat on his own, pour powder in shoes..wash feet whenever he took off his shoes etc....but reckon he starts to feel inferior...

I'm sharing it with my 4yo boy who has the same problem as me. It keeps the feet dry, so there's no smell.

is yr DS's sweaty palm and sole very serious? When i was a young gal, very "cham" i had very serious sweaty palm problem. I still remembered when I took exam, need to bring a hanky so I can put my hand on the hanky to write so my paper will not be wet...it was that serious. Also when I was dating my DH (bf then), always felt bad for him to hold my sweating hand though he does not mind at all.

In the end, I went for an operation to remove my sweat glands when I was 20 yrs old. For my feet, no cure though, still have to endure sweaty feet.

I have actually come across a friend who was so conscious about his feet. I recalled it was a chalet outing (during teenage years), he actually "evacuated" everyone from the chalet when he was about to walk in.

My ds is very thick skinned. I realised some shoes are really bad for him. We need to ensure he changes his socks and also we try to get leather shoes for him, that helps.

Most people I know have sweaty feet. It seems to be a common problem. Wearing leather shoes is known for preventing the hong kong feet smell.

one TCM told us that sweaty palm/sole is due to drinking too much cold drinks.

Getting toe socks also helps, in this way the sweat from the toes do not get mixed together. That and some powder helped my nephew with his smelly feet problem.

Thank you everyone! I have bought anti-deodorant (not sure if these are good for kids to apply) for my sonny but reckon it only helps to reduce smell, not sure if it works in the long run. A GP I consulted discourage kids to undergo ops for removing glands, he only prescribed some cream for my sonny for his palms that, at times get itchy with rashes once his hands get too sweaty. Now that my sonny is getting conscious of his sweaty hands n feet, I hope I can help save him from any embarrassment. It could be my fault....yes, I craved for Coke, carbonated drinks I dislike before pregnancy..
