Hi fellow Moms and Dads!
My pri-school going nephew suffered foot rot late December last year. There are persistence peels on his toes and between his toes. He seen a doctor at the polyclinic and applied ointment but the foot rot persisted. We brought him to seek 2nd opinion and the doctor gave a very odd advice - Wash nephew's socks and then boil the socks in hot water. The doctor explained that there are fungus/worms/worm eggs which lingered on the socks that could not be killed by regular washing. Only hot water can kill them
The foot rot started after my nephew was caught in the rain while he wore slippers and he ran through some muddy grass patch.
Now I ensure my family's socks (my boy's and hubby's and mine) are washed, and boiled
