Hi fellow Moms and Dads!

My pri-school going nephew suffered foot rot late December last year. There are persistence peels on his toes and between his toes. He seen a doctor at the polyclinic and applied ointment but the foot rot persisted. We brought him to seek 2nd opinion and the doctor gave a very odd advice - Wash nephew's socks and then boil the socks in hot water. The doctor explained that there are fungus/worms/worm eggs which lingered on the socks that could not be killed by regular washing. Only hot water can kill them :yikes:

The foot rot started after my nephew was caught in the rain while he wore slippers and he ran through some muddy grass patch.

Now I ensure my family's socks (my boy's and hubby's and mine) are washed, and boiled :scared:
