I put them in cereal, yogurt and recently just in sweet tea drink. Just gobble everything down. tasteless

Just bought chia seeds to try.
Need to ask some silly questions:
1. Do we need to wash them before consumption? Or can directly add to yogurt and salad?
2. Do we need to soak them in water before consumption?
