I am at Amore and I find the facilities good. Paid a package of a few thousand bucks but worked out to be about $16 per class (with free usage of the gym if you do the class). Approx the same as taking up the class at a CC. Downside is you need to sign up the package.

My fren said YMCA in town offers a membership of $70 per month, unlimited classes and usage of gym. Take this if you are super on.

dun join california fitness... very hard sell and poor customer service

Me and my friends were victims of their lifetime membership fiasco...

Remember around sept last year, got all those news reports and forum letters on California fitness lifetime memberships which turned out to be misleading.
Lifetime memberships sold between yr 2000 to 2006 for >$4k were terminated without notice, over a late $8 annual admin fee required after a certain number of years, which they din even send reminder for, nor even mentioned to clients that if they din pay the $8, membership would cease, as it was sold as lifetime membership.

After that they stopped selling lifetime memberships, only term memberships.
But imagine how many pp were misled and already signed up and parted with their $4k, to get kicked out over not paying $8!!

recently in january also got forum complaint letter, a teenage girl bought a membership and paid registration fee or something about $160 thereabouts, but needed parental consent as <21 yrs old. After discussing with her mum, she went back to next day to cancel membership, but they refused to do let her, and din return her registration fee, even though contract stated needed parental consent.

so find them very untrustworthy.

lesson learnt: never buy prepaid packages or believe deals too good to be true, and always do background checks if you intend to part a huge sum of money for something prepaid etc... scarly they close down before u even use their services like spa group subtle senses fiasco...

I bought my Limited package last year at a promotional rate. The package rate will be slightly higher if you take the Unlimited package but works out to be more economical if you use more often lah... If you join Tampines branch, you have option of taking their aquatic classes. A bit more ex I think.

Just go in and ask them. They are not pushy at all.

All the best! :)

If you are good at following dance steps, you can join the various cardio dance classes. I prefer to go for the kickboxing classes.
