Red spots

DD got injection last Sun, then yesterday after bringing her home from nanny's, suddenly discovered got many red spots all over her body! :yikes:
And she was having slight fever too.
But she wasn't scratching, so guess the spots were not itchy and she was her usual self.
The spots were not the bumpy kind but looked more like heat rash.
However, I haven't seen any heat rash that covered all over the body..
Since DD is still her usual self, able to play, etc I'm not too concerned but just curious about the spots.
Anyone knows about this?

Are the spots bright red ?
Better send to doc to rule out dengue.

Yea, that's what the nanny said too... Wonder what triggered it?

The spots are not really bright red like mosquito bite but looked like heat rash. And DD's skin is still smooth as ever.

When I had dengue, and those other cases I saw, the spots are like a blood spot under the skin and the skin is not raised. Not sure if this is always the case for dengue.

Just have to monitor since yr kid also have fever.

BTW, what was the injection for?

Ah the injection was for a vaccination, 5-in-1 they call it, but not sure what's inside?

Hmm.. now she doesn't have fever anymore, so perhaps dengue ruled out?

Last night, brought her back from nanny still sleeping, nanny said the spots were gradually fading away.
But when I looked at her back, wow, still so many angry looking ones!
We let her rest on a bed with fan blowing at her.
And when time came for her to change to her pyjamas, the spots on her back were not so angry looking anymore, so which lead me to believe they could be brought on by heat.
(nanny doesn't like fan directly blowing at DD, not even with the fan swiveling)
