When do kids start rejecting milk?

Postby Little Pudding » Mon Dec 03, 2012 10:19 pm

My son is two and recently he starts rejecting formula milk and I wonder why. I tried mixing milo, change brand, adding cornflakes, giving biscuits to drink with but all don't work.

End up I switch to chocolate fresh milk but he drinks very little.... But at least better than none...

He used to like cheese but now refuse to eat once he smell...

Any advice or suggestions on how to encourage kids to drink more milk.

My gal drinks very little too, 120ml - 150ml per sitting, at most 3x a day. I didn't give up formula milk but I changed to a more expensive organic brand. It was less fishy and she accepted it. To me, any amount she drinks is still better than none. We also feed her milk while watching her fave shows. She drinks faster that way.

I have friends who stopped giving their kids formula milk at 2yo and didn't even enforce daily feeds of fresh milk at all. They just gave soy milk or chocolate milk now and then.

By 2yrs old, they do not need that much milk. 400-500ml per day is sufficient.

Try yoghurt or make mushroom/chicken/carrot soups using fresh milk.
