Is your house generally not lit up bright enough? We tends to overlook the ambience light. Many households are not lit up bright enough to balance the ambiance light with the feature light. Especially the strong light from the TV, watching TV in the dim environment could worsen eyesight. Study table too, if the room light is dim but having a strong source of light focusing on the study table is bad for eyesight.

If she can read without her myopia glasses, then maybe when she does her reading at home, can take off her glasses with a interval of 30mins.

Try to look far as often as possible, lock and focus on any furthest object for at least 15mins each time. Please note that far as not just the distance of your house walls, but far as like the horizon, the sky or furthest building. Use this method as eye exercise after 30mins of reading.

About the withdrawal of Atropine, the better way is to do a slow withdrawal rather than stop the application abruptly. You should start with reducing the interval of application, eg. from daily to alternate day, then after 1 month further space out the interval like once every 3 days.

You can also reduce the application by apply it on the alternate eye on the alternate day.

With the slow withdrawal, your girl's eye muscles get to adjust to it accordingly. But I would think the intensifying of her myopia could be temporary.

Another thing to add, closing the eyes to rest isn't the eyes muscles exercise. Often hear parents ask their children to close the eyes to rest thinking that closing eyes can prevent the eyesight worsen, which it's not the case.

The only proven way is to look, lock and focus on a far away object, do it a few times daily, result is amazing.

I have read in many places that you really need to get your child out in the sunlight to play everyday. It helps with some kind of Stimulation for eye health.
Also kids will automatically be focussing near and far alternatively and repeatedly, which is good exercise for the eyes! ( and without making it be done like a chore / specific routine, which may bore your child).
