Skin conditions at times are diet related. Cream and medicine prescribe address the symptoms but not the root cause. A change in diet and added vitamins can help. I had dust allergy and discoid eczema, had frequent outbreak. Then I diet and slim down and started taking some supplements. Things got a whole lot better. So do consider 调理 body to help improve the allergy.
I saw some ads in my Facebook just now.

Itchy skin and the feeling of sadness are one of the symptoms of Diabetes.

As we head towards middle age, Diabetes may come knocking on our doors. Good to go for a thorough checkup

I heard from a friend recently having severe eczema. He visited many doctors (incl TCM) with no improvement to his itchy/flaking condition. Then finally he found a dermatologist who prescribed for him something like a 'fabric shirt' (or a big piece of thin cloth). Then he has to moisture the cloth and 'wear' it over his skin with a kind of medicated lotion (expensive that he will buy from Johore).

He visited the derma twice (first for consultation and second for review) and spent about $300+ and 'discharged' thereafter. He is very happy to find a 'cure' for his problem (at least a sustainable relief).

I will PM you the derma contact and you consider whether wanna try.

*Vaguely remember he was given a series of cream that had to be applied progressively one week after another.
the skin specialist also prescribed me fabric cloths for arms and thighs after applying the moisturiser meant for dry and flaky skin.
I used it for 30 min and took it off as it was hot and caused me to itch.

I remember he 'wore' the fabric for HOURS, even when came out for coffee with friends. His skin condition improved from large patchy redness to smoother without redness and itch.

Maybe you want to try for 2 days of such 'continuous moisturising' (hide in aircon room and really behave like a sick person in a room without doing housework). If this fails, at lease you can discard it and continue seek for other methods.

Good luck!

hi Hercules,
if your friend wore the fabric for hours, does he have to keep wetting it?
I tried to wear the fabric for arms in air con room but it got dry and I had to wet it soon after. now i'm trying to wear the fabric on my arms after applying moisturiser. really hopes it helps. thanks for letting me know your friend wore for hours. my condition is similar to your friend.

I spoke to his wife to get 'more correct' information of his treatment (my memory was wrong as I had so much info in my head from friends suffering from different health issues).

1. He had a course of antibiotic.

2. Every morning, he would apply the prescribed medicated cream. The cream started from the strongest in the first week and stepped down in strength weekly (so there was a series of creams).

3. Every day, he had to 'wear' the moistened fabric all over him (incl his face, body, hands, and legs) twice a day for an hour each. The fabric was only moistened with warm water and wrapped around him. After an hour, the fabric would dry up and he could remove it (he did it parts at a time else if whole body wrapped up like a mummy then difficult for movement. So he did his hands when out for coffee with friends).

4. Apply the Nu3 cream after shower as it stops itch quite effectively.

His condition improved 80+% after 10 days of above.

The first consultation cost was $500+ and second was $400+. Higher cost due to the cream as his itchy area was extensive (incl whole back) and needed many tubes of creams. Total he spent about $1000 odd for the two consultations before doctor examined his skin improvement and said 'discharged' and care as routine if he suffers another outbreak.

PS:

This above was the routine his doc prescribed to him and you have to see what your doc told you as creams prescribed (type and strength of each) maybe different.

[the cream started from the strongest for the thick parts of the body and milder cream for thin parts of the body like elbow]

[I skipped this part, maybe that's why itch didn't improve. whole of last night, I applied thick moisturiser and put on the moistened fabric on arms. seems to be better this morning].

my first consultation was $400. high cost due to the many tubes of creams and fabric.
using ceradan as prescribed by the doctor. will apply Nu3 cream when it itches outside. using suu balm at home.

Friend got the $60/tube cream fm Johore at less than 50% of price and the fabric from Taobao. The last visit doc wanted to prescribe him 4 tubes and he politely declined.

Hope your skin condition improves and can be more cheerful after spending so much!

Just to add on, some of the skin issues could be triggered by the things we use such as:

1. body soap - some are too drying and cause general itchiness. Personal experience. For people who are most sensitive or under lots of stress, reaction may be more severe

2. laundry detergent. Many of the modern detergents contain 'extra formula' to break down proteins, oil and whatever. Remnants of it may on your laundry trigger some skin problem

3. chrome allergy...some people are allergy to chrome whic is used to give a nice silvery finish. you can sometimes find it on heating element in kettles etc

Living with depression is not an easy thing.Your body wants to do something good but your mind says the opposite. I used to have a partner that has depression, it was very difficult for me to understand but I'm also thinking how hard it must have been for him as well.
I can fully relate. My wife suffered from depression ever since my medical condition since Jan 2016. I am not healed yet......

She has all the symptoms from suicide thoughts, always moody, can cry suddenly, always fatigue, difficult to fall asleep, never had deep sleep, cant focus, etc etc etc.

I am have been researching and found out Nutrient deficiency is a cause of depression. When we are stressed, our body depletes a lot of Magnesium. Overall the following might help:-
1) B3 , Niacinamide
2) B12, Methylcobalamin
3) Magnesium L-Threonate

To cut the whole story short..... we have experienced a miracle.....after taking a few doses of Liposomal Magnesium L-Threonate (many forms of Magnesium in the market, only L-Threonate can cross blood/brain barrier), my wife changed 360. All the symptoms she has had are all gone. She can even joke now!!

Anyone wants to learn more about Magnesium can read the book, The Magnesium Miracle.

I urge everyone to try the supplement route, instead of using medication/drugs to suppress. Nutrient deficiency is real and once the cause is identified, the person can heal well.

All the best.
